To provide a controller of a wastegate valve capable of accurately controlling operation of an exhaust turbine type supercharger.SOLUTION: A controller 37 for controlling a wastegate valve 30A installed at an exhaust bypass passage 29A bypassing a turbine wheel 28A of an exhaust turbine type supercharger 12A and flowing exhaust, is configured to, when supercharging pressure of an engine is equal to or less than a predetermined value, control the wastegate valve 30A in a position control mode of setting a target operation position and controlling operation positions of wastegate valves 30A, 30B according to the target operation position, and when the supercharging pressure exceeds the predetermined value, control the wastegate valve in a driving force control mode of setting a target driving force and controlling driving force of the wastegate valves 30A, 30B according to the target driving force.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】排気タービン式過給機の動作を的確にコントロールすることのできるウェイストゲートバルブの制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】排気タービン式過給機１２Ａのタービンホイール２８Ａを迂回して排気を流す排気バイパス通路２９Ａに設置されたウェイストゲートバルブ３０Ａを制御する制御装置３７はウェイストゲートバルブ３０Ａの制御を、エンジンの過給圧が既定値以下となるときには、目標動作位置を設定してその目標動作位置に応じてウェイストゲートバルブ３０Ａ、３０Ｂの動作位置を制御する位置制御モードで行い、過給圧が既定値を超える圧力となるときには目標駆動力を設定してその目標駆動力に応じてウェイストゲートバルブ３０Ａ、３０Ｂの駆動力を制御する駆動力制御モードで行う。【選択図】図２
