Summary:To provide a wavelength conversion member and a production method thereof.SOLUTION: The wavelength conversion member is provided that includes: a phosphor including at least one kind selected from a nitride-based phosphor and an oxynitride-based phosphor; and aluminate including at least one kind selected from the group consisting of a rare earth aluminate and an alkaline earth metal aluminate.
