Summary:To provide a heat exchanger which can automatically discharge condensed water without leaking a gas as a cooling object.SOLUTION: In a structure for opening and closing a drain hole 43 of an intercooler by a valve 5, when a force obtained by subtracting a total valve-descending force from a total valve-ascending force when the valve 5 is immersed with water up to a prescribed height is set as an immersion-time total external force, and a value obtained by dividing the immersion-time total external force by the density of a valve material and gravity acceleration is set as a valve float critical volume, a capacity of an air chamber 53 formed at the valve 5 is set larger than a value obtained by subtracting the valve float critical volume from a contour volume of the valve 5. Then, a length dimension of a leg part 52 of the valve 5 in a vertical direction is set longer than the prescribed height. By this constitution, condensed water stored in a downstream-side tank part 4 can be automatically discharged without leaking intake air while preventing the come-off of the leg part 52 from the drain hole 43.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】冷却対象としての気体の漏出を生じさせることなく、凝縮水の排出を自動的に行うことを可能にする熱交換装置を提供する。
