To provide a railway vehicle that more easily alerts a passenger leaning on the neighborhood of a side edge of a doorway on an inner wall surface of a passenger compartment about a case where the doorway is opened/closed by doors.SOLUTION: In a railway vehicle 1 in which doors 5 are disposed at a doorway 4 on an inner wall surface 3 of a passenger compartment 2, light parts 7 arranged along side edges of the doorway 4 light or flash on the inner wall surface 3 when the doorway 4 is opened/closed by the doors 5. Therefore, even a passenger leaning on the neighborhood of a side edge of the doorway 4 on the inner wall surface 3 of the passenger compartment 2 can relatively easily see light of the light part 7 without being hidden by the passenger's body or clothes, and compared with a case where a handrail in the neighborhood of the side edge of the doorway 4 emits light, the railway vehicle easily alerts the passenger leaning on the neighborhood of the side edge of the doorway 4 on the inner wall surface 3 of the passenger compartment 2 about a case where the doorway 4 is opened/closed by the doors 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】車室の内壁面における出入口の側縁の近傍に寄りかかっていた乗客に対して、ドアによる出入口の開閉が行われることについての注意喚起をより促し易くなる鉄道車両を提供する。【解決手段】車室２の内壁面３の出入口４を開閉するドア５が設けられた鉄道車両１において、ドア５による出入口４の開閉時に内壁面３において出入口４の側縁に沿って配置されたライト部７が点灯又は点滅する。このため、車室２の内壁面３における出入口４の側縁の近傍に寄りかかっていた乗客からも、ライト部７の光が比較的に当該乗客の身体や衣類に隠れずに見え易くなり、出入口４の側縁の近傍の手摺が発光する場合に比べて、車室２の内壁面３における出入口４の側縁の近傍に寄りかかっていた乗客に対して、ドア５による出入口４の開閉が行われることについての注意喚起をより促し易くなる。【選択図】図１
