Summary:To increase an energy absorption amount at a collision initial stage of frontal collision, and also improve an automobile appearance by avoiding interference between a front wheel and a lower member.SOLUTION: Automobile body structure comprises: a front side frame 15 extending in a front-rear direction; a load receiving member 16 connected to the front end of the front side frame 15 and extending outward in a vehicle width direction; a lower member 20 extending upward and outward in the vehicle width direction from the front end of the front side frame 15; and an upper member 19 extending backward above a front wheel 37 from the outer end in the vehicle width direction, of the lower member 20 and connected to the front end of a front pillar 40, accordingly the pressure receiving area of a collision load of a frontal collision is secured by a front face of the lower member 20 in addition to the front face of the load receiving member 16, and the absorption effect of collision energy can be enhanced from the initial stage of a collision. Moreover, the lower member 20 extends upward and outward in the vehicle width direction without extending backward from the front end of the front side frame 15, so that even if the front wheel 37 is arranged in front of a vehicle body, the front wheel 37 does not interfere with the lower member 20 and an automobile appearance is improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】 前面衝突の衝突初期のエネルギー吸収量を増加させるとともに、前輪とロアメンバとの干渉を回避して外観を向上させる。【解決手段】 前後方向に延びるフロントサイドフレーム15と、フロントサイドフレーム15の前端に接続されて車幅方向外方に延びる荷重受け部材16と、フロントサイドフレーム15の前端から上方かつ車幅方向外方に延びるロアメンバ20と、ロアメンバ20の車幅方向外端から前輪37の上方を後方に延びてフロントピラー40の前端に接続されるアッパーメンバ19とを備えるので、荷重受け部材16の前面に加えてロアメンバ20の前面により前面衝突の衝突荷重の受圧面積を確保し、衝突初期から衝突エネルギーの吸収効果を高めることができる。しかもロアメンバ20はフロントサイドフレーム15の前端から後方に延びずに上方かつ車幅方向外方に延びるので、前輪37を車体前方に配置してもロアメンバ20と干渉することがなくなって外観が向上する。【選択図】 図1
