Summary:To convey a glass plate having a longitudinal posture and accompanying a direction change with a high speed.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a glass plate includes a conveyance step of supporting and conveying an upper end portion of a glass plate G3 having a longitudinal posture. The conveyance step comprises: the first conveyance step of conveying the glass plate G3 in a first direction along a direction perpendicular to a main surface; and the second conveyance step of conveying the glass plate G3 in a second direction along a direction parallel to the main surface.
