To provide a hand dryer capable of discharging residual charge in a simple configuration.SOLUTION: The hand dryer includes: a hand insertion section enabling a hand to be inserted thereinto; a blow-out port blowing out air into the hand insertion part; a function section including a hand detection part detecting the hand inserted into the hand insertion part and an air supply part supplying air to the blow-out port; a control section operating the air supply part according to detection of a hand and stopping operation of the air supply part according to cancellation of the detection of a hand; a power source circuit connected to a power supply source via a power source line, converting power supplied from the power supply source according to the control section, and supplying power after conversion to the control section; and a power source monitoring section monitoring a state of power supplied from the power supply source and inputting a monitoring result to the control section.
