To provide a battery capable of fixing an insulation member to a power collection tab of a positive electrode and a negative electrode without using a fixing member.SOLUTION: A battery comprises: a lead that has a connection part connected with a terminal, and two holding parts 4c and 4d extending from the connection part toward a wound electrode group 2 and electrically connected with a fixing member 12, and holding opposed two holding parts 12a and 12b from the outside; and an insulation cover that has a U-shaped member having first and second opposed side walls and a curved part provided therebetween, a back face member 26d provided at a back face side of the U-shaped member integrally with the U-shaped member, a first projection part 26e engaged with the first holding part 4c of the lead formed on the first side wall and being convex toward the second side wall side, and a second projection part 26f engaged with the second holding part 4d of the lead formed on the second side wall and being convex toward the first side wall side, and that holds the lead by the engagement of the first projection part 26e with the first holding part 4c and the engagement of the second projection part 26f with the second holding part 4d.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 【課題】固定部材を用いることなく、絶縁部材を正極及び負極の集電タブに固定することができる電池の提供。【解決手段】端子に接続される接続部と、接続部から捲回電極群２に向けて延出され、固定部材１２と電気的に接続し、対向する二つの保持部１２ａ、１２ｂを外側から挟む二つの挟持部４ｃ，４ｄとを備えたリードと、対向する第１、第２の側壁とその間の湾曲部を有するＵ字部材と、Ｕ字部材の背面側にＵ字部材と一体的に設けられた背面部材２６ｄと、第１の側壁に形成されたリードの第１の挟持部４ｃと係合する、第２の側壁側に凸の第１の突起部２６ｅと、第２の側壁に形成されたリードの第２の挟持部４ｄと係合する、第１の側壁側に凸の第２の突起部２６ｆと、を備え、第１の突起部２６ｅが第１の挟持部４ｃに係合し、第２の突起部２６ｆが第２の挟持部４ｄに係合することでリードを挟む絶縁カバーを備える電池。【選択図】図７
