Summary:To refer to map data at high speed in a navigation system.SOLUTION: In a navigation system 20, a control unit 1 sets the priority of analysis to an analysis process that is performed for each kind of map information on the basis of at least one of operation information and the state of navigation operation, as well as sets the priority of generation for each kind of information for applications, and performs an analysis process on at least one kind of map information among multiple kinds of map information as an analysis object in the order that corresponds to the priority of analysis. Meanwhile, information for applications is generated in the order that corresponds to the priority of generation on the basis of the result of analysis process obtained for each of the map information that is the analysis object, and preserves the generated information for applications in a temporary storage unit 2. The control unit 1 executes a process related to navigation operation using the information for applications that is preserved in the temporary storage unit 2 this way.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】ナビゲーションシステムにおいて地図データの参照を高速に行う。【解決手段】ナビゲーションシステム20において、制御部1は、操作情報およびナビゲーション動作の状態の少なくとも一つに基づいて、地図情報の種類ごとに行われる解析処理に対して解析優先度を設定すると共に、アプリ用情報の種類ごとに生成優先度を設定し、複数種類の地図情報のうち少なくとも一種類の地図情報を解析対象として、解析優先度に応じた順番で解析処理を行う。そして、解析対象の地図情報に対してそれぞれ得られた解析処理の結果に基づいて、生成優先度に応じた順番でアプリ用情報を生成し、生成したアプリ用情報を一時記憶部2に保存する。こうして一時記憶部2に保存されたアプリ用情報を用いて、制御部1はナビゲーション動作に関する処理を実行する。【選択図】図1
