To provide a change detection program, a change detection method, and a change detection apparatus which detects presence or absence of any change and a portion subjected to the change without calculation on the entire document using a hash function and the like.SOLUTION: A change detection apparatus 100 generates index information based on a documents stored in a storage unit 140. The change detection apparatus 100 acquires the index information associated with information specifying the document. The change detection apparatus 100 determines, based on a result of comparison between the generated index information and the acquired index information, whether or not any change has been made to the acquired document.
