To provide a pitching machine that can optionally set types of balls to throw (types of pitch such as a straight pitch, curve and fork), in the pitching machine of a configuration for throwing a ball by air pressure.SOLUTION: A pitching machine 1 has throw means 3 for throwing the ball toward a hitter by air pressure, ball rotating means 4 for giving rotation to the ball, and rotation axis turning means 5 for making a rotation axis of the ball turn.
