Summary:To provide an electric power supply which can efficiently restrain an inrush current after starting a voltage transducer and is easily realized.SOLUTION: An electrical power system S comprises a first power supply, a second power supply, VCU outputting a boosted voltage from the input port to the output terminal, and ECU controlling the VCU. The VCU comprises an upper arm, a lower arm, a reactor of which one terminal is connected with the input port and of which the other terminal is connected with a connection midpoint between the upper arm and the lower arm, and a current sensor which acquires a value of a current through the reactor. When starting the VCU, the ECU performs starting control which gradually increases a duty factor γ1 of a transistor of the lower arm with a transistor of the upper arm being OFF, and then performs normal control which complementarily drives the transistor of the upper arm and the transistor of the lower arm. The ECU determines whether to finish or continue the starting control using the reactor current value acquired by the current sensor during performing the starting control.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】電圧変換器における起動後の突入電流を効果的に抑制することができ、実現が容易な電源装置を提供すること。
