Summary: | To provide a liquid crystal display device in which leakage of light caused by an alignment error is prevented, degradation in performance characteristics of a thin film transistor accompanying formation of an unnecessary thin film caused by a stepped portion of a light blocking member is prevented, and a thin film transistor is easily repaired.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes: a first insulation substrate; a gate line 121 disposed on the first insulation substrate; a first data line 171 and a second data line 171 each disposed on the first insulation substrate; a color filter that is disposed on the first insulation substrate and disposed between the first data line and the second data line; a first light blocking member 220 disposed on the first data line and the second data line; and a second light blocking member 330 disposed on the color filter and the first light blocking member, extending in the same direction as the gate line, and overlapping the first light blocking member on the first data line and the second data line.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
