SOLUTION: Control means 8 is designed to be switched between first imaging operation for irradiating an article 2 with visible light as first inspection light and imaging the article in line form by line type imaging means 6 and second imaging operation for irradiating the article with ultraviolet light as second inspection light and imaging the article in line form by the line type imaging means. The control means alternately executes the first imaging operation and the second imaging operation, thereby imaging the article in a plurality of line forms (images A to I) respectively and obtaining an image of the article irradiated with visible light (backslash image) from the plurality of line-shaped images obtained by the first imaging operation, and obtains an image of the article irradiated with ultraviolet light (slash image) from the plurality of line-shaped images obtained by the second imaging operation.EFFECT: Two types of images can be obtained by one line type imaging means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【解決手段】 制御手段８は、第１検査光としての可視光を物品２に照射してライン式撮像手段６により物品をライン状に撮像する第１撮像動作と、第２検査光としての紫外線を物品に照射して上記ライン式撮像手段により上記物品をライン状に撮像する第２撮像動作とに切り替えて実行できるようになっている。上記制御手段は、上記第１撮像動作と第２撮像動作とを交互に実行してそれぞれ物品を複数のライン状に撮影し（画像Ａ〜Ｉ）、かつ上記第１撮像動作で得られた複数のライン状画像から可視光を照射した物品の画像（右下がりの斜線の画像）を得るとともに、上記第２撮像動作で得られた複数のライン状画像から紫外線を照射した物品の画像（右上がりの斜線の画像）を得るようになっている。【効果】 １台のライン式撮像手段で２種類の画像を得ることができる。【選択図】 図４
