Summary:To restore the capacity of a battery pack appropriately, in a secondary battery system including a battery pack of lithium ion secondary batteries containing a silicon oxide in the negative electrode.SOLUTION: A battery pack 40 includes multiple cells 41, where each cell 41 is a lithium ion secondary battery containing a silicon oxide (SiOx) in the negative electrode. A binding member B is configured to apply a binding pressure P to the battery pack 40 by binding the battery pack 40. An actuator 45 is configured to adjust the binding pressure P of the binding member B. An ECU 100 controls the actuator 45 so as to increase the binding pressure P compared with a case where the full charge capacity C of the battery pack 40 is higher than a threshold capacity TH, when the full charge capacity C of the battery pack 40 goes below the threshold capacity TH, and the negative electrode potential V2 is within a prescribed potential range R. The potential range R is a range where the negative electrode potential V2 is 0.3-0.9 V with reference to the metal lithium potential.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 【課題】負極にシリコン酸化物を含有するリチウムイオン二次電池の組電池を備えた二次電池システムにおいて、組電池の容量を適切に回復させる。【解決手段】組電池40は、複数のセル41を含み、各セル41は、負極にシリコン酸化物(SiOx)を含有するリチウムイオン二次電池である。拘束部材Bは、組電池40を拘束することで組電池40に拘束圧Pを印加するように構成される。アクチュエータ45は、拘束部材Bの拘束圧Pを調整するように構成される。ECU100は、組電池40の満充電容量Cがしきい値容量THよりも低下した場合に、負極電位V2が所定の電位範囲R内にあるときには、組電池40の満充電容量Cがしきい値容量THよりも高い場合と比べて、拘束圧Pが増加するようにアクチュエータ45を制御する。電位範囲Rは、金属リチウム電位を基準とした負極電位V2が0.3V以上かつ0.9V以下の範囲である。【選択図】図6
