Summary:To provide a diagnostic method that uses a sensor mounted on a rolling guide device to properly grasp a state of a rolling surface of a track member of the rolling guide device and a lubrication state of a rolling body.SOLUTION: A state diagnostic method comprises: using a vibration sensor fitted to a rolling guide device to detect relative vibratory displacement between a track member and a moving member; comparing a detection signal of the vibration sensor with a predetermined threshold; diagnosing, when the detection signal of the vibration sensor is larger than the threshold, abnormality of a travel state of the moving member with respect to the track member; supplying a lubricant to the rolling guide device; reading in the detection signal of the vibration sensor again after the supply is completed; and diagnosing, when the detection signal of the vibration sensor is larger than the threshold, a defect in supply of the lubricant or a defect of a rolling surface of the track member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 【課題】転がり案内装置に装着されたセンサを用いて、当該転がり案内装置の軌道部材の転走面の状態や転動体の潤滑状態を適切に把握する診断方法を提供する。【解決手段】転がり案内装置に取り付けた振動センサを用いて軌道部材と移動部材との間の相対的な振動変位を検出すると共に、前記振動センサの検出信号と所定の閾値とを比較し、当該振動センサの検出信号が前記閾値よりも大きい場合には、前記軌道部材に対する前記移動部材の走行状態に異常があると判断して、当該転がり案内装置に対する潤滑剤の供給を行い、供給完了後に再び前記振動センサの検出信号の読み込みを行い、当該振動センサの検出信号が前記閾値よりも大きい場合には、潤滑剤の供給不良又は前記軌道部材の転走面の不良を判断する。【選択図】 図8
