Summary:To provide: a permanent magnet for a rotary electric machine, which can keep a necessary and sufficient surface magnetic flux density even in the event of occurrence of demagnetization, and which enables the prevention of the reduction in rotary electric machine's torque and power generation quantity; a method for manufacturing such a permanent magnet of a rotary electric machine; a rotary electric machine incorporating such a permanent magnet for a rotary electric machine; and a method for manufacturing the rotary electric machine.SOLUTION: A permanent magnet 1 for a rotary electric machine is manufactured by the steps of: pulverizing a magnet raw material into magnet powder; mixing the magnet powder with a binder, thereby producing a compound 17; then, molding the compound 17 thus produced in a sheet form, thereby preparing a green sheet 19; thereafter applying a magnetic field to the green sheet 19 thus molded, thereby performing magnetic field orientation of the green sheet 19; shaping, by deformation, the green sheet 19 thus oriented in a product form; and then, baking the product form. In the permanent magnet 1, axes of easy magnetization are oriented so that they converge into an area easier for demagnetization in comparison to other areas.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】減磁が生じたとしても必要十分な表面磁束密度を保持することが可能となり、回転電機のトルクや発電量が低下することを防止した回転電機用永久磁石、回転電機用永久磁石の製造方法、該回転電機用永久磁石を用いた回転電機及び回転電機の製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】磁石原料を磁石粉末に粉砕し、粉砕された磁石粉末とバインダーとを混合することによりコンパウンド17を生成する。そして、生成したコンパウンド17をシート状に成形したグリーンシート19を作製する。その後、成形したグリーンシート19に対して磁場を印加することにより磁場配向を行い、磁場配向されたグリーンシート19を変形させることによって製品形状へと成形する。その後、焼結することにより永久磁石1を製造する。また、永久磁石1は、他のエリアに比べて減磁され易いエリアへと集束するように磁化容易軸が配向されるように構成する。【選択図】図3
