Abstract To provide a motor controller capable of protecting a motor opening switch, constituted compactly of a semiconductor switching element, surely with high reliability.SOLUTION: A motor controller includes a control section 120, a motor rotation number detector 132, an energy calculation part 121 for calculating energy on the basis of the motor rotation number, a determination part 122 for turning all second FETs OFF when the energy is in the area of safe operation, and a state detector 125 for detecting first abnormality, i.e., abnormality of the control stage FET, and second abnormality, i.e., abnormality other than that of the control stage FET.
