Summary:To provide a variable valve gear of an internal combustion engine which can achieve improvement of axis alignment between an inner cam shaft and a rotor to improve assemblability.SOLUTION: A variable valve gear of an internal combustion engine includes: an inner cam shaft 6 which is inserted into an outer cam shaft 5 while enabling relative rotation; a first shaft part 5a extending from one end part of the outer cam shaft; a housing 2 which has a first insertion hole 20 into which the first shaft part is inserted and which is fixed to the outer cam shaft; and a second shaft part 6a which extends from one end part of the inner cam shaft and protrudes from the first shaft part in a rotation axis direction.
