Summary: | To develop an optical element which can emit light of wide light distribution efficiently, and to develop a luminaire including the optical element.SOLUTION: A luminaire uses an optical element 50 formed by a material transparent with respect to visible light and having a shape rotationally symmetry with respect to a central axis, and inside the optical element, a hole 1 in which the transparent material does not exist is provided. An inner surface of the hole has a shape which includes a curved portion in which a boundary line L of the hole where a plane including the central axis C and the inner surface cross with each other swells outward of the optical element. Also, when an original point O is in the hole and the direction advancing clockwise along the boundary line with respect to the original point is defined as a normal direction, in the case where a first tangent vector V1 is given on a first point A on the boundary line and a second tangent vector V2 is given on a second point B adjacent to the first point in the normal direction, an angle formed by making the clockwise direction of the second tangent vector with respect to the first tangent vector positive is always equal to or greater than 0 degrees, and the inner surface of the hole does not include a surface recessed inside.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】広配光な光を効率良く射出できる光学素子、およびこの光学素子を備えた照明装置の開発。【解決手段】可視光に対して透明な材料により形成され、中心軸に対して回転対称となる形状を有する光学素子50を使った照明装置であって、光学素子の内部には、透明な材料が存在しない空孔1が設けられている。空孔の内面は、中心軸Cを含む平面と該内面とが交差する空孔の境界線Lが光学素子の外方に向けて膨らむ曲線部分を含むような形状を有する。また、空孔内に原点Oをとり、当該原点に対して境界線に沿って時計回りに進む方向を正方向とし、境界線上の第1の点Aにおける第1の接線ベクトルV1をとり、第1の点に対して正方向に隣接する第2の点Bにおける第2の接線ベクトルV2をとった場合、この第2の接線ベクトルの第1の接線ベクトルに対する上記時計回りを正とする成す角が常に0度以上であり、空孔の内面は内側に凹む面を含まない。【選択図】図2 |
