Summary:To suppress variations in peripheral speed of a developer carrier 25.SOLUTION: A development apparatus includes a developer carrier 25 and a developer supply member 34. The developer supply member 34 includes: a driving force input member 37; a gear 38; a shaft 34j onto which the driving force input member 37 and the gear 38 are attached; and a developer supply unit 34c for covering the shaft 34j. The driving force input member 37, the developer supply unit 34c, and the gear 38 are arranged in this order in a shaft line direction of the shaft 34j.
