Summary: | To suppress discharge of harmful substances, prevent damage of a catalyst during regeneration of a filter, efficiently regenerate the filter and prevent deterioration of fuel performance and oil lubrication performance in an exhaust emission control system for an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: In an exhaust emission control system for an internal combustion engine 1, 101, particulate matters accumulated in a filter 42 is burned and removed by using oxidation heat generated by contact of an unburned air-fuel mixture including fuel and air with a catalyst 41, so as to regenerate the filter 42. The internal combustion engine 1, 101 is configured to enable compression ignition in a combustion chamber 14 of a cylinder 11. In the exhaust emission control system, when a vehicle is in a deceleration state or the cylinder 11 is in a rest state and regeneration of the filter 42 is required, execution of filter regeneration control is instructed to the cylinder 11. In a filter regeneration control mode, both of an intake valve 20a and an exhaust valve 21a are closed, and the unburned air-fuel mixture held for a predetermined period Q in the combustion chamber 14 in a state of preventing the compression ignition is sent to the catalyst 41.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】内燃機関の排出ガス浄化システムにおいて、有害物質の排出を抑え、フィルタ再生時における触媒の損傷を防止し、フィルタを効率的に再生し、燃料性能及びオイル潤滑性能の低下を防止する。【解決手段】内燃機関1,101の排出ガス浄化システムにて、燃料及び空気を含む未燃混合気と触媒41との接触により生じる酸化熱を利用して、フィルタ42に堆積された粒子状物質を燃焼除去し、これによって、フィルタ42を再生する。内燃機関1,101は気筒11の燃焼室14内で圧縮着火を可能とするように構成される。かかる浄化システムでは、車両が減速状態にあるか又は気筒11が休止状態にあり、かつフィルタ42を再生する必要がある場合に、気筒11に対するフィルタ再生制御を実行指示し、フィルタ再生制御モードにて、吸気バルブ20a及び排気バルブ21aの両方を閉じ、かつ圧縮着火を防いだ状態の燃焼室14内で所定の期間Q保持された未燃混合気を触媒41に送る。【選択図】図1 |
