To provide a bat for baseball or softball which can increase flying distance performance.SOLUTION: A bat 1 for baseball or softball includes a grip part 5, a tapered part 4, and a ball hitting part 3. The ball hitting part 3 includes a base material 31 extending in one direction and an elastic body 32 having a cylindrical part 32a extending in one direction with a gap between a peripheral surface and the cylindrical part on a circumference of the peripheral surface of the base material 31.
