To solve the problem in which: when a number of terminal devices simultaneously access an image forming apparatus, processing on data to be displayed on displays of the terminal devices is delayed, which degrades the responsiveness of the terminal devices when users instruct execution of target functions to the image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A delay determination unit 24 included in an image forming apparatus 2 determines a delay in processing on data displayed on a display included in a remotely connected operation panel 3. An executability determination unit 25 determines, when the processing on the data is determined to be delayed, whether a function the execution of which is instructed from the operation panel 3 is a function that can be immediately executed by the apparatus according to the state of the apparatus.
