Summary:To control the distribution of air-fuel mixture in a combustion chamber with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A control device for an engine 1 where SI combustion of air-fuel mixture is started inside a combustion chamber 17 by flame propagation and then CI combustion of unburnt air-fuel mixture is caused by self-ignition includes a control part 10 for controlling an ignition part 25 and a fuel injection part 6. The control part 10 controls the SI combustion while controlling air-fuel mixture distribution utilizing a swirl flow. Injection is carried out at least multiple times, including front-stage injection for injecting fuel at least at a timing after an intake stroke but before the middle stage of a compression stroke and rear-stage injection for injecting the fuel at a timing after the middle stage of the compression stroke or later.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15 【課題】燃焼室内での混合気分布が精度高くコントロールできるようにする。【解決手段】燃焼室17の内部で火炎伝播により混合気がSI燃焼を開始した後、自己着火により未燃混合気がCI燃焼するエンジン1の制御装置である。点火部25、燃料噴射部6を制御する制御部10を備える。制御部10は、スワール流を利用して混合気分布を制御しながらSI燃焼を制御する。少なくとも、吸気行程から圧縮行程の中期までの間のタイミングで燃料を噴射する前段噴射と、圧縮行程の中期以降のタイミングで燃料を噴射する後段噴射とを含む複数回の噴射が行われる。【選択図】図15
