To provide a gas generator which achieves good combustibility of a gas generating agent and good combustion gas discharge performance.SOLUTION: A cup shaped partition wall 20 disposed in a cylindrical housing 10 has a bottom part 21, a peripheral wall part 22, and an opening 23. The peripheral wall part 22 has a large diameter peripheral wall part 24 located at the opening 23 side; a small diameter peripheral wall part 25 having multiple nozzles 25a located at the bottom part 21 side; and an annular step part 26 located between the large diameter peripheral wall part 24 and the small diameter peripheral wall part 25. A cylindrical gap 30 is formed between the cup shaped partition wall 20 and an inner wall surface 10a of the cylindrical housing 10. During operation, a combustion product generated in an enhancer chamber 16 enters into the cylindrical gap 30 and then moves in an axial direction along the inner wall surface 10a of the cylindrical housing 10 to burn a gas generating agent.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】ガス発生剤の燃焼性と燃焼ガスの排出性の良いガス発生器の提供。【解決手段】筒状ハウジング10内に配置されたカップ状隔壁20は底部21、周壁部22および開口部23を有し、周壁部22は、開口部23側の大径周壁部24、底部21側の複数のノズル25aを有する小径周壁部25、それらの間の環状段差部26を有しており、カップ状隔壁20と筒状ハウジングの内壁面10aの間に筒状間隙30が形成されている。作動時、エンハンサ室16で生じた燃焼生成物は筒状間隙30に入ったあと、筒状ハウジングの内壁面10aに沿って軸方向に移動してガス発生剤を燃焼させる。【選択図】図１
