Summary:To provide a cutting insert which can prevent floating of a cutting insert to a tool body.SOLUTION: A cutting insert 11 has two end faces 20 and 21 facing each other, a peripheral side face 22 extending between the two end faces 20 and 21, a cutting edge 23 formed on a crossing ridge line between at least one of the two end faces 20 and 21 and the peripheral side face 22, and a hole 24 for fixation penetrating in an end face direction from the first end face 20 toward the second end face 21.
