Summary: | To provide a light emitter having high reliability, a light emitter having high luminous efficiency, or a light emitter having low power consumption, the light emitter being capable of being driven with low voltage.SOLUTION: A light emitter includes: an anode; a luminous layer on the anode; an electron transport layer on the luminous layer; a first electron injection layer positioned on the electron transport layer, the first electron injection layer being in contact with the electron transport layer; a second electron injection layer positioned on the first electron injection layer, the second electron injection layer being in contact with the first electron injection layer; and a cathode positioned on the second electron injection layer, the cathode being in contact with the second electron injection layer. The electron transport layer contains an organic compound having an electron transport property higher than its hole transport property and contains at least one of lithium, lithium complex including 8-quinolinol ligand, and magnesium complex including 8-quinolinol ligand. The first electron injection layer contains at least one of lithium and lithium complex including 8-quinolinol ligand.
