To provide a hydraulic cylinder capable of restraining deterioration of detection performance of an expansion/contraction amount.SOLUTION: A hydraulic cylinder 1 includes a cylinder tube 4, a piston 7 movable in an internal space of the cylinder tube along an axial direction of the cylinder tube and partitioning the internal space into a bottom chamber 5 and a head chamber 6, a rod 8 connected with the piston, a magnet 9 arranged in the bottom chamber side of the piston in the axial direction and fixed to the piston, and a magnetic sensor 10 disposed outside the cylinder tube and detecting a magnetic field varying in accordance with movement of the piston.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】伸縮量の検出性能の低下を抑制できる油圧シリンダを提供する。【解決手段】油圧シリンダ１は、シリンダチューブ４と、シリンダチューブの内部空間においてシリンダチューブの軸方向に移動可能であり、内部空間をボトム室５とヘッド室６とに区画するピストン７と、ピストンに連結されるロッド８と、軸方向においてピストンよりもボトム室側に配置され、ピストンに固定される磁石９と、シリンダチューブの外側に配置され、ピストンの移動により変化する磁界を検出する磁気センサ１０と、を備える。【選択図】図１
