Summary:SOLUTION: Side part imaging means 15 (15') comprises a line camera 4B (4C) for side parts, a first mirror 7 and a second mirror 8 for reflecting the side appearances of an inspection object 3 upstream and downstream of the direction of conveyance, and a third mirror 9 for causing the side appearances reflected from the mirrors 7, 8 to be inputted to the line camera 4B (4C) by two reflection surfaces 9A, 9B. The appearance on the side of the inspection object 3 is reflected by the mirrors 7-9 and inputted to the line cameras 4B, 4C for side parts and is imaged thereby. A control device 12 inspects the inspection object 3 for bruises, etc., on the basis of the top face image data of the inspection object 3 imaged by the line camera 4A for top parts and the image data of four side points of the inspection object 3 imaged by the line camera 4A-4C.EFFECT: An inexpensive article inspection device 1 can be provided with which it is possible to image the side appearances of an inspection object 3 without causing dead angles to occur.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【解決手段】側部撮像手段15(15')は、側部用のラインカメラ4B(4C)、と、検査対象物3の側面の搬送方向上流側と下流側の外観を所定方向へ反射する第1ミラー7及び第2ミラー8と、両ミラー7、8から反射された側面の外観を2つの反射面9A、9Bによってラインカメラ4B(4C)へ入射させる第3ミラー9を備えている。検査対象物3の側面の外観は、各ミラー7〜9で反射されて側部用のラインカメラ4B、4Cに入射され、それらによって撮像される。制御装置12は、上部用のラインカメラ4Aが撮像した検査対象物3の上面の画像データと、各ラインカメラ4A〜4Cが撮像した検査対象物3の側面の4箇所の画像データを基にして、検査対象物3の打撲傷等を検査する。【効果】死角が生じることなく検査対象物3の側面の外観を撮像することができ、かつ、安価な物品検査装置1を提供できる。【選択図】 図1
