To provide an imaging apparatus capable of performing suitable imaging.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: an imaging unit that captures an image through an imaging optical system; a photographing control unit that continuously photographs a plurality of images by changing a direction of imaging by the imaging optical system; an image processing unit for synthesizing the plurality of images in a chronological order; and a display unit for displaying an image captured by the imaging unit, an image instructing a direction for changing the imaging direction of the imaging optical system, and an image synthesized by the image processing unit.
