To provide a valve driving device which is capable of obtaining a much more smooth motion and also reduces cost of manufacture.SOLUTION: A valve driving device comprises: a stem 40 held in a freely rotatable manner around a center axis Ct and including on an outer peripheral surface 40a a groove part 41 including a cam groove 42 and lock grooves 43 and 44 formed continuously to both ends of the cam groove 42; a ball 60 which can be engaged into the groove part 41; a movable member 50 which is coupled to an operation member, of which the rotation around the center axis Ct is regulated and which is guided in a forward/backward movable manner in a direction of the center axis Ct and includes an accommodation hole 52 which is formed in a direction orthogonal to the center axis Ct and in which the ball 60 can be accommodated; and a coil spring 70 which engages the ball 60 to the groove part 41 of the stem 40 while making the ball protrude from the accommodation hole 52 and energizes the ball 60 towards the stem 40 in such a manner that the ball 60 is held by the groove part 41 and the accommodation hole 52.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2A 【課題】より一層円滑な動きが得られ、製造コストも低減されたバルブ駆動装置を提供する。【解決手段】中心軸線Ｃｔを中心に回転自在に保持され、カム溝４２と当該カム溝４２の両端部に連続して形成された係止溝４３，４４とを含む溝部４１を外周面４０ａに有するステム４０と、溝部４１に係合可能なボール６０と、操作部材に連結され、中心軸線Ｃｔ周りの回転が規制され、中心軸線Ｃｔ方向に進退可能に案内され、中心軸線Ｃｔに直交する方向に形成されかつボール６０を収容可能な収容孔５２を有する可動部材５０と、ボール６０を収容孔５２から突出させつつステム４０の溝部４１に係合させて当該ボール６０が当該溝部４１と収容孔５２によって保持されるように当該ボール６０を当該ステム４０に向けて付勢するコイルばね７０と、を有する。【選択図】図２Ａ
