Summary:To provide a feature extraction device capable of robustly extracting information effective for identification against measurement noise.SOLUTION: In a feature extraction device 100, a feature extraction unit 120 extracts a feature amount as a three-dimensional point group being a set of three-dimensional points representing a position on the surface of an object as an input. In doing so, a point group clustering unit 122 divides the three-dimensional point group by clustering processing to generate a point group cluster. A histogram feature generation unit 123 extracts and connects histogram feature amounts from each of two areas: an attention object area including respective three-dimensional points belonging to the same point group cluster as an attention point, and an attention object peripheral area including respective three-dimensional points belonging to a point group cluster different from the attention point, for an attention area within a certain distance preset from the attention point with each of three-dimensional points belonging to each generated point group cluster as the attention point.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】識別に有効な情報を、計測ノイズに対して頑健に抽出することができる特徴抽出装置を提供する。【解決手段】特徴抽出装置100において、特徴抽出部120が、物体の表面上の位置を表す3次元点の集合である3次元点群を入力として、特徴量を抽出する。このとき、点群クラスタリング部122は、3次元点群をクラスタリング処理により分割して点群クラスタを生成する。ヒストグラム特徴生成部123は、生成された各点群クラスタに属する3次元点の各々を注目点として、注目点から予め設定した一定の距離以内の注目領域について、注目点と同じ点群クラスタに属する3次元点の各々を含む注目対象領域と、前記注目点と異なる点群クラスタに属する3次元点の各々を含む注目対象周辺領域との2つの領域の各々からヒストグラム特徴量を抽出し連結する。【選択図】図2
