Summary:To provide a technology which can further improve the protection performance of a fuel system component without causing an increase of the number of part items and weight.SOLUTION: An extension part 34 having a protruding piece 34a is arranged at a protector 20, and when the protector 20 is attached to an internal combustion engine 1, the protruding piece 34a opposes a recess 60b in a position separating from the recess 60b of an existing fastening bolt 60 by a prescribed distance. By this constitution, when the protector 20 is deformed due to a collision to a radiator shroud 92 and the protector 20 of an intake manifold 14 accompanied by a collision of a vehicle, the protruding piece 34a of the extension part 34 of the protector 20 can abut on the inside of the recess 60b of the opposing fastening bolt 60. The protector 20 can be thereby favorably suppressed from being displaced to any direction including vertical and left-and-right directions with respect to the internal combustion engine 1, and a fuel system component 12 can be surely protected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 16 【課題】部品点数の増加や重量増加を招くことなく燃料系統部品の保護性能をより一層向上することが可能な技術を提供すること。
