Summary:To provide a seismic isolator capable of reducing the characteristic frequency of the whole device while supporting the weight of the supported object.SOLUTION: A seismic isolator comprises: a cylinder 12 having a cylindrical shape with one closed end and installed on either the ground side or the supported object side; a piston 22 configured to be relatively displaceable in the cylinder axis direction in the cylinder 12 and installed on the other side of the ground side and the supported side; and a fluid flow channel 40 provided between the cylinder 12 and the piston 22 in a radial direction for communicating the inside of the cylinder 12 with the outside of the cylinder 12, and working fluid composed of viscous fluid is introduced into the cylinder 12 at a predetermined pressure while discharging it to the outside of the cylinder 12 through the fluid flow channel 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】被支持物の重量を支えつつ、装置全体の固有振動数を低下させることができる免震装置を提供する。【解決手段】一端が閉止された筒形状を具備し、地面側と被支持物側のどちらか一方に設置されるシリンダ12と、シリンダ12内を筒軸方向に沿って相対的に変位可能に構成され、地面側と被支持物側の他方に設置されるピストン22と、径方向におけるシリンダ12とピストン22との間に、シリンダ12の内部とシリンダ12の外部とを連通する流体流路40とを設け、粘性流体からなる作動流体を、シリンダ12内に所定の圧力で供給しつつ、流体流路40を通じてシリンダ12の外部へ排出する。【選択図】図2
