Summary: | To reduce the size of an ink jet recording device excellent in the discharge performance of ink.SOLUTION: An ink jet recording device 1 includes a nozzle head 4. The nozzle head 4 includes an ink nozzle 41 and a cleaning liquid nozzle 141. The ink nozzle 41 discharges the aqueous ink to the lower side Z2 in the vertical direction from the opening of the ink nozzle 41. The cleaning liquid nozzle 141 supplies the aqueous cleaning liquid to the second region R2 of the nozzle head 4 in the hemispherical shaped droplets. The aqueous ink and aqueous cleaning liquid respectively independently include polyol. The aqueous cleaning liquid further includes a nonionic surfactant. The nonionic surfactant includes an amine type surfactant. The viscosity of the aqueous ink is equal to or greater than 5.0 mPa s and equal to or less than 6.5 mPa s. The viscosity of the aqueous cleaning liquid is equal to or greater than 3.5 mPa s and equal to or less than 5.0 mPa s. 【課題】インクの吐出性能に優れるインクジェット記録装置の小型化を図る。【解決手段】インクジェット記録装置1は、ノズルヘッド4を備える。ノズルヘッド4は、インク用ノズル41と、洗浄液用ノズル141とを有する。インク用ノズル41は、水性インクを、インク用ノズル41の開口から鉛直方向下側Z2へ吐出する。洗浄液用ノズル141は、水性洗浄液を、半球状の液滴の状態で、ノズルヘッド4の第2領域R2に供給する。水性インクと、水性洗浄液とは、各々独立に、ポリオール類を含有する。水性洗浄液は、さらに、非イオン性界面活性剤を含有し、非イオン性界面活性剤は、アミン型界面活性剤を含む。水性インクの粘度が、5.0mPa・s以上6.5mPa・s以下である。水性洗浄液の粘度が、3.5mPa・s以上5.0mPa・s以下である。粘度の比率が、0.60以上0.85以下である。【選択図】図2 |
