Summary: | To provide a toner that is excellent in the developability and the environmental stability for fogging even during long-term durable use.SOLUTION: A toner contains toner particles and strontium titanate particles present on the surfaces of the toner particles, where the strontium titanate particle (i) has a number average particle diameter of a primary particle of 10 nm or more and 80 nm or less, (ii) has a methanol concentration of 40.0% or more and 60.0% or less when the transmittance of light with a wavelength of 780 nm is 50% in a methanol wettability test, and (iii) is a particle having a partial structure a represented by the following formula (1) on the surface of a strontium titanate base particle, and the abundance of the partial structure a on the surface of the strontium titanate particle measured by using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (ESCA) is 0.110 or more and 0.220 or less. Formula (1) is R-Si-O. In the formula (1), Ris a functional group having a substituent with a Hammett substituent constant σ(meth) of 0.25 or more at the terminal.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】長期耐久使用においても現像性、かぶりに関して環境安定性に優れたトナーを提供することである。【解決手段】トナー粒子と、該トナー粒子の表面に存在するチタン酸ストロンチウム粒子とを有するトナーであって、該チタン酸ストロンチウム粒子は、(i)一次粒子の個数平均粒径が10nm以上80nm以下であり、(ii)メタノール濡れ性試験において、波長780nmの光の透過率が50%のときのメタノール濃度が40.0%以上60.0%以下であり、(iii)チタン酸ストロンチウム母粒子の表面に、下記式(1)で表される部分構造aを有する粒子であり、X線光電子分光法(ESCA)を用いて測定される該チタン酸ストロンチウム粒子の表面における該部分構造aの存在割合が、0.110以上0.220以下であることを特徴とするトナー。R1−Si−O3/2式(1)(式(1)中、R1は末端にハメットの置換基定数σm(メタ)が0.25以上である置換基を持つ官能基である。)【選択図】 なし |
