Summary:To properly determine a deterioration state of a sensor cell.SOLUTION: A gas sensor comprises: a pump cell that adjusts the concentration of oxygen in a gas to be detected introduced into a gas chamber through voltage application; a sensor cell that detects the concentration of a specific gas component in the gas chamber after the oxygen concentration is adjusted by the pump cell; and a monitor cell that detects the concentration of oxygen remaining in the gas chamber. SCUs 31 to 33 include a voltage switching unit M11 that switches voltage applied to the pump cell, an acquisition unit M12 that, when the voltage applied to the pump cell is switched by the voltage switching unit M11, acquires an output from the sensor cell and an output from the monitor cell; and a deterioration determination unit M13 that determines a deterioration state of the sensor cell on the basis of the output from the sensor cell and output from the monitor cell acquired by the acquisition unit M12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 【課題】センサセルの劣化状態を適正に判定する。【解決手段】ガスセンサは、ガス室内に導入された被検出ガス中の酸素濃度を電圧印加により調整するポンプセルと、ポンプセルによる酸素濃度の調整後にガス室内の特定ガス成分の濃度を検出するセンサセルと、ガス室内の残留酸素濃度を検出するモニタセルとを有する。SCU31〜33は、ポンプセル印加電圧を切り替える電圧切替部M11と、電圧切替部M11によりポンプセル印加電圧が切り替えられる場合に、センサセルの出力とモニタセルの出力とを取得する取得部M12と、取得部M12により取得されたセンサセルの出力とモニタセルの出力とに基づいて、センサセルの劣化状態を判定する劣化判定部M13と、を備える。【選択図】 図6
