Summary: | To provide a thermal spray material capable of forming a dense coating.SOLUTION: A mixture is obtained by mixing a ceramic or metal fine particle with an average particle size of 1 μm or more and 10 μm or less, and a liquid state thermoset resin, the fine particle being evenly dispersed (step S11). The mixture is hardened by heating (step S12), and a hardened product is crashed into a particle with a particle size larger than that of the fine particle (step S13). This provides a thermal spray material capable of forming a dense coating by a plasma spray, a frame spray or laser spray.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
