Summary:To provide a hot rolling wire for wire drawing that can be produced stably by wire drawing in a sufficient process amount without the application of a patenting process, and makes it possible to produce a steel cord having an excellent fatigue life under a high humidity environment.SOLUTION: Adopted is a hot rolling wire for wire drawing having a metallographic structure that contains C: 0.01-0.29%, Si: 0.10-2.00%, Mn: 0.30-1.50%, with the balance being Fe and impurities, where Al, Ti, N, P, and S in the impurities are Al: 0.040% or less, Ti: 0.003% or less, N: 0.0100% or less, P: 0.030% or less, S: 0.020% or less; the total volume fraction of a ferrite structure and a pearlite structure is 90% or more and the volume fraction of the pearlite structure is 40% or less. A maximum particle size of TiN in a measurement area 125 mmon any cross section vertical to a wire lengthwise direction is 20 μm or less, and a minimum value of contraction in a tension test is 50% or more.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】パテンティング処理を施すことなく、十分な加工量で伸線加工を行うことで安定に製造でき、高湿度の環境で良好な疲労寿命を有するスチールコードが製造できる伸線加工用熱間圧延線材を提供する。【解決手段】C:0.01〜0.29%、Si:0.10〜2.00%、Mn:0.30〜1.50%、を含有すると共に残部がFe及び不純物から成り、不純物中のAl、Ti、N、P、及びSがそれぞれ、Al:0.040%以下、Ti:0.003%以下、N:0.0100%以下、P:0.030%以下、S:0.020%以下であり、フェライト組織とパーライト組織の合計の体積率が90%以上、パーライト組織の体積率が40%以下である金属組織を有し、線材長さ方向と垂直な任意の断面上の測定面積125mm2中でのTiNの最大粒径が20μm以下であり、引張り試験の絞りの最小値が50%以上である、伸線加工用熱間圧延線材を採用する。【選択図】なし
