To provide an image forming device and a conveyance control method capable of correcting a sub-scanning curve of a sheet more correctly.SOLUTION: An image forming device includes a transfer part for transferring an image to a sheet, a sheet conveyance member provided on the upstream side of the transfer part in a sheet conveyance direction for conveying the sheet, and a control part for controlling the oscillation of the sheet conveyance member so as to oscillate the sheet along the width direction of the sheet. Before a tip end of the sheet in a conveyance direction enters the transfer part, the control part executes first control for oscillating the sheet conveyance member with an oscillation amount based on a result of the detection by a detection part for detecting the position of an end in the width direction of the sheet, and after the tip end of the sheet enters the transfer part, executes second control for stopping the oscillation operation so that the end of the sheet reaches a target position based on the position of the end detected by the detection part after the oscillation operation of the sheet conveyance member is started.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 【課題】用紙の副走査曲がりをより正しく矯正することが可能な画像形成装置および搬送制御方法を提供する。【解決手段】画像形成装置は、用紙に画像を転写する転写部と、用紙の搬送方向における転写部の上流側に設けられ、用紙を搬送する用紙搬送部材と、用紙を該用紙の幅方向に沿って揺動させるように用紙搬送部材の揺動を制御する制御部と、を備える。制御部は、搬送方向における用紙の先端が転写部に入る前に、用紙の幅方向の端部位置を検出する検出部の検出結果に基づく揺動量で用紙搬送部材を揺動させる第１制御を実行し、用紙の先端が転写部に入った後に、用紙搬送部材の揺動動作を開始した後に検出部により検出された端部位置に基づいて、用紙の端部が目標位置に到達するように揺動動作を停止させる第２制御を実行する。【選択図】図８
