Summary:To provide a lead storage battery which can suppress the overflow of an electrolyte solution from a liquid-pouring port when pouring a liquid in a liquid type lead storage battery.SOLUTION: A lead storage battery 100 comprises: a plurality of electrode plate groups 134; a battery case 120 having a plurality of cell chambers 22 for individually encasing the plurality of electrode plate groups 134 respectively; an electrolyte solution encased respectively in each of the plurality of cell chambers 22; and a battery case lid 110 for closing openings of the plurality of cell chambers 22 collectively. The battery case lid 110 includes: a lid main body having a first principal face 11 in which a plurality of liquid-pouring ports are provided in line in a first direction, corresponding to the plurality of cell chambers 22, and a second principal face opposed thereto; and a plurality of cylindrical wells respectively hanging down from peripheral edges of the plurality of liquid-pouring ports in the second principal face. The plurality of cylindrical wells each have a pair of slits along an axial direction of the cylindrical well.
