Summary:To provide a resistance spot welding method which can perform spot welding regardless of a combination of materials, and can obtain sufficient joint characteristics.SOLUTION: A spot welding method includes: a preparation step of preparing a plate set including a lamination part 10 in which plate materials 1, 2, and 3 are stacked in three layers; and a welding step of sandwiching the lamination part 10 of the plate set with a pair of electrodes 20 and 20, applying current between the electrodes 20 and 20 while applying pressure to the lamination part 10 with the electrodes 20 and 20, and applying resistance spot welding to the lamination part 10. In the preparation step, as the lamination part 10, the plate materials 1 and 3 made of the mutually same type of metal are arranged at outermost layers, and the plate material 2, which is made of the same type material as one of the plate materials 1 and 3 of the outermost layers and has a through hole 2a, is arranged at an inner layer. In the welding step, the resistance spot welding is applied while a position of the through hole 2a of the plate material 2 of the inner layer and a position of the electrodes 20 and 20 are matched.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1B 【課題】材料の組み合わせを問わず、スポット溶接を行え、十分な継手特性が得られる抵抗スポット溶接方法を提供する。【解決手段】スポット溶接方法は、3層に板材1、2、3が積み重ねられた積層部10を含む板組を準備する準備工程と、板組の積層部10を一対の電極20、20によって挟み込み、積層部10を電極20、20によって加圧しながら電極20、20間に電流を印加して、積層部10に抵抗スポット溶接を施す溶接工程と、を含む。準備工程では、積層部10として、最外層に互いに同一の金属の板材1、3を配置するとともに、内層に最外層の板材1、3の材料と同種の材料の板材2であって貫通穴2aを有する板材2を配置する。溶接工程では、内層の板材2における貫通穴2aの位置と電極20、20の位置を一致させた状態で抵抗スポット溶接を施す。【選択図】図1B
