PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving assist system that inhibits long-term continuation of indication of a warning against another vehicle traveling at the side of an own vehicle.SOLUTION: When detection of a left lateral vehicle by a left lateral vehicle recognition unit 3 takes place, a lateral vehicle warning processing unit 6 lights a left indicator 8 and initiates a timer. When the left lateral vehicle is not detectable, the left indicator 8 is put out.
