PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display image information without disturbing comfortable driving.SOLUTION: A head-up display device 100 comprises: a display unit 110 for irradiating display light; an optical system 120 that allows a visually recognizing person to visually recognize a virtual image by guiding the display light from the display unit to a window shield; a virtual image position adjusting part 130 that adjusts an irradiation position of the virtual image by varying a distance between the display unit 110 and the optical system 120 or an angle of a mirror that the optical system 120 comprises; a view point position detecting part 140 that detects a view point of the visually recognizing person; and a control part 150 that controls the virtual image position adjusting part so that the irradiation position of the virtual image is varied based on the view point of the visually recognizing person detected by the view point position detecting part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】快適な運転の妨げにならないように画像情報を表示する。【解決手段】ヘッドアップディスプレイ装置１００は、表示光を照射する表示ユニット１１０と、表示ユニットからの表示光をウインドシールドへ導くことで視認者に虚像を視認させる光学系１２０と、表示ユニット１１０と光学系１２０との距離もしくは光学系１２０が備える鏡面の角度を変化させることにより虚像の照射位置を調整する虚像位置調整部１３０と、視認者の焦点を検出する視点位置検出部１４０と、焦点検出部が検出した視認者の焦点に基づいて、虚像の照射位置を変えるように虚像位置調整部を制御する制御部１５０と、を備える。【選択図】図３
