Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermochromic writing instrument and a friction tool which can prevent a friction portion from becoming dirty when not in use and perform a smooth friction operation without bringing a main body into a vertical state with respect to a surface to be written.SOLUTION: A protective member 4 surrounding an outer periphery of a friction portion 31 is provided on an outer surface of an end portion on the friction portion 31 side of a main body. The protective member 4 itself is provided so as to have an elastic force in the axial direction and expandable in the axial direction and flexible radially outward. When the friction portion 31 is not used, a top portion of the protective member 4 projects axially forward from a top portion of the friction portion 31. When the friction portion 31 is used, the protective member 4 is compressively deformed axially rearward due to contact between a surface to be written and the top portion of the protective member 4, and the amount of compressive deformation thereof is freely changed by the inclination between the surface to be written and the main body. The elastic force in the axial direction of the protective member 4 itself is set higher than the weight of an entire thermochromic writing instrument 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】非使用時に摩擦部が汚れることを防止できるとともに、被筆記面に対して本体を垂直状態にしなくても円滑な摩擦操作が可能な熱変色性筆記具及び摩擦具を提供する。【解決手段】本体の摩擦部31側の端部の外面に、摩擦部31の外周を包囲する保護部材4を設け、保護部材4自体が軸方向の弾発力を備えるとともに軸方向に伸縮可能且つ径方向外方に撓曲可能に設けられ、摩擦部31の非使用時、保護部材4の頂部が摩擦部31の頂部よりも軸方向前方に突出し、摩擦部31の使用時、被筆記面と保護部材4の頂部との接触により、保護部材4が軸方向後方に圧縮変形するとともに、その圧縮変形量が被筆記面と本体との傾きにより自由に変化してなり、保護部材4自体の軸方向の弾発力が、熱変色性筆記具1全体の重量より高く設定される。【選択図】図1
