Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens unit with which it is possible to suppress a reduction in accuracy of holding a lens in a lens barrel.SOLUTION: A lens unit 10 comprises a cylindrical lens barrel 12 composed of a resin material containing inorganic fiber and provided with a plurality of flat parts 44 as holding parts on an inner circumferential surface 12A, and a lens 32 housed inside the lens barrel 12 with its outer circumferential surface held by the flat parts 44.
