Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flaw detection technique for improving spatial resolution in defect detection, and also to provide a product manufacturing method using the same.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic flaw detection device 10 includes: an array probe 34 equipped with multiple piezo-electric elements 33 respectively capable of transmitting/receiving an ultrasonic wave with respect to an inspection object 35; an element group definition section 16 for defining an element group 13 and calculating a propagation route of an ultrasonic beam; a delay time calculation section 11 for calculating respective delay times 21 of the piezo-electric elements 33 constituting the element group 13; and a synthesis signal generation section 31 for allowing detection signals 25 to be synthesized based on the delay times 21 and to be generated as a synthesis signal concerning ultrasonic beams having propagation routes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
