Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CIGS solar battery in which a glass substrate constituting a CIGS solar battery exhibits high chemical strengthening characteristics (CS, DOL), and, when applying a heat treatment carried out when forming a CIGS layer, due to excellent alkali diffusibility from a surface of a glass substrate to the CIGS layer, a power generation efficiency of the CIGS solar battery can be improved, furthermore, in the production process of the CIGS solar battery, the alkali diffusibility can be adjusted.SOLUTION: A CIGS solar battery includes at least a lower electrode, a photoelectric converting layer containing a CIGS compound, and an upper electrode formed in this order on a glass substrate, in which the glass substrate contains, by mass % expression on the oxide base, 60 to 75% of SiO, 0.5 to 8% of AlO, 0 to 10% of MgO, 1 to 15% of CaO, 0 to 3% of SrO, 0 to 3% of BaO, 7 to 20% of NaO, 0 to 8% of KO, 0 to 3% of ZrO, and 0.005 to 0.25% of FeO, and on a main surface on a side where the lower electrode is formed, a chemical strengthening treatment is applied.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】CIGS太陽電池を構成するガラス基板が高い化学強化特性(CS、DOL)を示し、かつ、CIGS層を形成する際に実施される加熱処理の際に、ガラス基板表面からCIGS層への優れたアルカリ拡散能を有することにより、CIGS太陽電池の発電効率が向上することができ、さらに、CIGS太陽電池の製造過程で上記のアルカリ拡散能を調節することができるCIGS太陽電池の提供。【解決手段】ガラス基板上に、少なくとも、下部電極、CIGS化合物を含む光電変換層、および、上部電極がこの順に形成されたCIGS太陽電池であって、前記ガラス基板は、酸化物基準の質量百分率表示で、SiO2を60〜75%、Al2O3を0.5〜8%、MgOを0〜10%、CaOを1〜15%、SrOを0〜3%、BaOを0〜3%、Na2Oを7〜20%、K2Oを0〜8%、ZrO2を0〜3%、Fe2O3を0.005〜0.25%含有し、前記下部電極が形成される側の主面に化学強化処理が施されていることを特徴とするCIGS太陽電池。【選択図】なし
