Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation system and a power generation method which improve a power generation efficiency by a steam turbine by increasing, without generating CO, the temperature of super heated steam for driving the steam turbine for power generation.SOLUTION: A power generation system includes a combustion apparatus 1 which burns a combustible material, an evaporator 2 which generates vapor by the heat of exhaust gas generated in the combustion apparatus 1, a superheater 3 which super-heats the vapor from the evaporator 2, a steam turbine 12 which is driven by the superheated steam from the superheater 3, and a power generator 13 which is connected to the steam turbine 12 and generates electric power. The superheater 3 and the steam turbine 12 are connected via a heat exchanger 15. An ammonia combustion apparatus 14 is connected to the heat exchanger 15. Ammonia combustion exhaust gas generated by combusting ammonia in the ammonia combustion apparatus 14 is guided into the heat exchanger 15 to increase the temperature of the super heated steam by heat exchange with the ammonia combustion exhaust gas.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】発電のための蒸気タービンの駆動のための過熱蒸気を、CO2の排出なしに、昇温させ蒸気タービンによる発電効率を向上させる発電装置及び発電方法を提供することを課題とする。【解決手段】可燃物を燃焼する燃焼装置1と、燃焼装置1で発生する排ガスの熱により蒸気を生成する蒸発器2と、蒸発器2からの蒸気を過熱する過熱器3と、過熱器3からの過熱蒸気により駆動される蒸気タービン12と、該蒸気タービン12に連結されて発電する発電機13とを有する発電装置において、過熱器3と蒸気タービン12とが熱交換器15を介して接続され、該熱交換器15にはアンモニア燃焼装置14が接続されていて、該アンモニア燃焼装置14でアンモニアを燃焼して生ずるアンモニア燃焼排ガスが上記熱交換器15に導かれて、上記過熱蒸気を該アンモニア燃焼排ガスとの熱交換により昇温する。【選択図】図1
